2TALK42 Ministries was started in June of 1998 after Brian answered God's call to evangelistic ministry while attending the International Festival of Christian Puppeteers and Ventriloquist in Kankakee, IL. He started out doing local events. Vicki joined in, in 2000. They did one hour events mostly in local churches. Brian knew that God was calling him into a deeper commitment. It was a hard decision for him as he took an early retirement from a fifteen year career from the Louisiana State Police in November 2001. Vicki had resigned her position as Administrator for the Richland Parish Communication District (E-911) in August 2001. As God began His full-time ministry through them in 2002, they did twenty-five Family Crusades in eleven states seeing many people come to know Jesus as their Savior. God continues to show them that they can depend upon Him for all their needs. They now live and travel full-time in an RV. They feel that God's ministry through them includes seeing children and adults come to Jesus for salvation as well as encouraging families to grow closer and be more involved in the local church and living out their faith. Through God's guidance they present the Gospel through ventriloquism, puppetry, drama, illusions and songs at Family Crusades and Children's Camps. Brian also does Standup Comedy for adults/teenagers. 2TALK42 became a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in December 2001. The board members of 2TALK42 are: President - Brian Cockerham, Secretary/Treasurer - Vicki Cockerham, Kirby Hendrix at 318-728-4403 and Randy Pierce at 318-728-5244. Karen Hollis (318-728-6588) is the CPA for the ministry. Funding is derived from love offerings and private donations. All donations are tax deductible and proof of 501(c)(3) status is available upon request by emailing them at info@2talk42.com or calling 318-547-7701 or 318-537-2214.
